The Barracudas represented well with a large team in Brussels. The team swam to a third place finish in the EFSL Benelux Division leading to almost 30 swimmers qualifying for Champs.
After a massive team illness for the first meet, our second home meet of the season was the first time we were able to see many of our swimmers in the water this year. What a great turnout!

A small team of Barracudas represented well at NAS Signonella. Six swimmer represented well in the Pentathalon Saturday followed by a fourth place team finish on Sunday in the standard meet (and four of those swimmers swam both days).
The first home meet started the year with a bang! The Barracudas welcomed EFSL teams from Signonella, Naples and Rota, as well as, local teams from Mildenhall and Ipswitch.
Thanks to all the Barracuda volunteers who stepped up to help with the Fall Bake Sale. We raised much needed funds and met some potential swimmers.
The Lakenheath Barracudas hosted the EFSL Benelux Divisional meet 2016 at RAF Honington on Saturday, 6 February with 5 EFSL teams and over 175 swimmers in attendance. The winning team of the Divisional trophy 2016 was SHAPE, followed by Geilenkirchen in second place, and then the Lakenheath Barracudas in third. It can be a daunting experience when contemplating swimming an 800 or 1500, but once swum, is something to be proud of. Well done Barracudas for a strong showing of distance-driven swimming this season!
